Most previews will list the injuries that players sustained from the previous week. This is important to know as it may affect your eligibility to participate. A player who sustained a particular injury may be able to still play in this week’s game but their chances of being available for this week are slim. If you have a high school football blog that you regularly access then this information is readily available for you to read.

You can look at the injuries and news regarding injuries and players that could miss the game. This will give you an idea if you should place a claim on a player. Most coaches will put their best players out for the game for the week 7 high school football previews because injuries are inevitable and part of the game. It does not matter how experienced or good a player is, they will occasionally hurt themselves.

You can look at the average line and yards per carry statistics for each team during the last two weeks. Knowing the overall average can help you decide if you should go with your best scoring running back or move your offense to the opposite side of the field. If your offense is struggling through the first two weeks, it may be better to put your young backs in the game and hope for the best. The losing streak could turn into a winning streak if your young stars come into play with the confidence that they will bring with them. If you have a bye week remaining this can also be a great time to bench your star player or give them the bye for the season.

Injuries have been one of the biggest reasons why some teams have underperformed expectations. During the last two weeks, three different Bulldogs running backs were out with varying degrees of injuries. Both DeAngelo Williams and Kenyan Dickson suffered ankle sprains while trying to run for a touchdown in the final minutes of a close win over Fresno State. Neither is expected back until later this month. This is just one of the instances where a running back may miss the rest of the season. Expectations for this Bulldogs team must be set very low considering the losses of star players Williams and Dickson.

Despite these concerns, the loss of Williams and Dickson does not mean the end of this Bulldogs team. They have proven they can overcome adversity and win big games against some of the best competition in college football. The offense is ranked first in yards per play and points scored, while the defense averages more tackles for lost yardage than any other team in the nation. Expect this team to be very hungry for each win and battle tooth and nail in the coming weeks to secure the top ranking. In addition, keep an eye out for true freshmen such as LSU’s Zach Gilbert, Oklahoma’s Todd Gurley, and USC’s USC commit, Leonard Williams.
